Healthy Schools
‘Healthy School’ at Crownbridge is an initiative which underlies the maintaining and promoting of a healthy body and learning environment for both pupils and staff. It enables everyone to make informed choices about lifestyles, food and exercise, and also gives all involved a chance to take control over some aspects of the school environment which will then, in turn, influence their health.
The ‘Healthy School’ framework is built around six health topics, which cover mental and emotional health and wellbeing, physical activity, healthy and sustainable food, substance use and misuse, personal and sexual health and relationships, within a sustainable environment.
